Description

Palomar FET450LD MOSFET Mobile Linear Amplifier - 450 Watts Max w/ 25-40 Watts Input - 1xERF-7530 Mosfet Transistor Driving 4xERF-7530 Mosfet Transistors. This is a low drive amp. Unlike the high drive 450, this amplifier has an additional mosfet transistor that drives the 4 final transistors. 15 watts input should obtain 300 watts output; 30 watts input should obtain 400 watts output; 40 watts input should obtain 450+ watts output. These ratings have been achieved using a Bird 43P peak reading meter at 13.8 volts. Your results may vary. This amplifier is class AB1, high quality and has an automatic ssb delay, preamp and a hi/med/low setting.

Palomar FET-450LD Reviews LD450-FET
This little mosfet amp is brilliant!!! The design in brilliant and the cost per watt is about 50 cents per watt. I am blown away at how strong the signal is as the modulation just cuts through all the carriers. Opened up, these aren't your normal MOSFETS you find in Galaxy Radios like the 8 mosfet galaxy 98 that does 250 watts. These 4 MOSFET finals are big. They say 75 watt rating each but apparently do 100 to 125 each if they're driven properly. They handle a lot of power. If driven really hard, they'll start to get hot like any transistor and then get muffled but thatâ
